Kirsten was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and has been singing as long as she can remember. At the age of four, she had already joined her church choir.

While she spent her childhood performing in church choir, children's choirs, and school plays, her pursuit of the arts began in earnest at the age of 15 when she and her family relocated to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She was involved in show choir, concert choir, marching band, and every drama production. She attended All-State Choir and Virginia Honors Choir, a choir composed of the top 136 Senior vocal students in the state based on a statewide audition.

At the University of Virginia, she pursued a dual degree: B.A. in Drama with a Musical Theatre concentration and a B.A. in English Literature. There, she performed in each musical and supported all other productions in a technical, directorial, or administrative capacity.

She spent her summers in-between terms as a member of the Heritage Theatre Festival, a regional summer stock repertory theatre in Charlottesville, performing in or stage managing such classics as My Fair LadyThe Sound of Music, and 1776.

Since graduation, Kirsten has travelled the US and Canada as a Tour Actor/Director with Missoula Children's Theatre and journeyed through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve as a Kilimanjaro Safari Guide at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. She's also worked with hundreds of performers as a Disney Performing Arts Talent Coordinator. Now, she is a full-time vocal coach at and co-owner of Sing Orlando with her husband, Ken.

In her free time, Kirsten likes to explore all the strange touristy things Orlando has to offer. When not doing so, she's probably curled up in her favorite chair with a cup of coffee, her dog, and a book.
